An agreement between a landlord and the tenant for the use of a residential property on rental basis is known as Residential Rental Agreement. This agreement states the rule laid down by the landlord and the date when the property has been acquired for rental purpose. A tenant can use the property for a maximum tenure of eleven months and if by any chance, there is a need to extend, the agreement needs to be renewed.
If the agreement is prepared for more than 11 months, the agreement needs to be registered.
