Adding a designated partner is applicable in firms that are run by partners. Limited Liability Partnership is one of the examples. At least two partners should be designated partners. Each of these designated partners should have a designated Partner Identification Number. In addition to this, the names of the partners should be added in LLP.
How to add a Designated Partner
The first step is to apply for designated partner identification number (DPIN). If a partner already has one, it is good to go.
- A resolution for the appointment of a Designated partner should be passed
- For the change in partner, Form 4 has to be filed
- There has to be made amendment to the change in LLP agreement by filing Form 3
